Our aim is to teach basic life saving skills to everyone who needs them, which let’s face it is all of us.

The objective of a Dinky Medic session is to introduce children to first aid, medical services (including other emergency service providers) in a fun and exciting way.

Children may already have some experience of being hurt or poorly and needing hospital treatment, or may have never experienced any medical staff and should the occasion ever arise these sessions prepare them for what they may come across.

Asking a child to put their finger in a Oximeter could be very scary and cause them unnecessary upset. Learning about such items may lessen the fear and anxiety.

Through a mixture of role play, singing and instructor lead learning activities a dinky medic session will help provide children with an insight on common equipment and scenes they may face should they become injured or unwell. It will help children to develop confidence, social skills and may even spark an interest to become a medical professional in the future.
